Hampton style kitchens are currently extremely popular. They delight with a combination of chic and elegance, while providing many arrangement possibilities in large kitchen spaces. The Mundo Cocinas company from Elbląg makes kitchen furniture in this style for its customers.

It owes its name to the seaside towns of Southampton and East Hampton located on Long Island. This was where wealthy Americans built their summer residences. The luxurious style of their city apartments did not match the interior design of the houses on the coast.
That is why a new trend was born, which was a compromise between elegant, sophisticated interiors and the climate of the seaside coast. He quickly found his supporters in both America and Europe.
This style also reached Poland, where it found recognition among owners of large living spaces.
– The style was initially used in the holiday residences of New York millionaires, but over time it spread beyond their borders to the homes of other Americans, Europeans and finally Poles – says Agnieszka Adamek-Zemke, manager of Mundo Cocinas – a manufacturer of world-famous, excellent quality wooden furniture fronts and kitchen furniture. – By creating such a space in our homes, we have the opportunity to present light, wooden fronts, usually without visible wood structure, i.e. made of alder.
The interiors decorated in the Hampton style are very cozy, yet extremely chic and elegant. This style is a unique combination of a holiday atmosphere and effortless elegance.
The colours of the furniture are mainly inspired by seaside landscapes. Shades of white, pastel beige and blue play the dominant role here. Shades of grey and silver are also present. The contrast to the pastel colors is brown and navy blue.
The colours are meant to refer to a warm summer on the ocean shore amidst a fresh sea breeze, and are one of the elements creating the atmosphere of these interiors. The colors are complemented by furniture and flooring made of wood in natural shades.
The Hampton style kitchen is open and together with the dining room and kitchen creates one common space. These are extremely spacious rooms designed to accommodate as many people as possible. Additionally, everything is decorated in bright colours, with plenty of natural light, giving the kitchen a distinctive seaside style.
White is the dominant color in Hampton kitchens. The cabinets, marble kitchen countertops, and window frames are white. This colour reflects light perfectly, making these kitchens extremely bright. The dark wooden floor contrasts perfectly with the white kitchen cabinets and bar stools. Wood fully reflects the seaside atmosphere.
An alternative to white kitchen furniture are blue, green or grey cabinets. Their color reflects the colors of the ocean.
In the Hampton style, marble is an absolute must on the kitchen countertop. It fits because of its timeless, classic features. Open shelves and glass sideboards are characteristic elements of this style in the kitchen.
It’s also a perfect way to display kitchen treasures: old bottles and antique scales. Woven wicker baskets and boxes will help you keep order and store your accessories in style.
Very often, the distinguishing feature of this style in the kitchen is the use of a kitchen island. This, unlike white furniture fronts, is often painted a different color, e.g. blue, navy blue or gray. On the living room side, there are stools made of wood, metal or rattan. Above its top, usually made of stone or wood, lamps with decorative glass or metal shades are hung.
